Parent's Association
The role of the Parent's Association in advising the school's management, on issues of importance, is vital if we are to provide mutual support in the education of our students.
Role and Constitution of the Parent’s Association
The present Parents’ Association was first established in September 2012 at a well attended AGM in Crana College. Although the members of the Parents’ Association are prepared to assist with fundraising, this is not their primary function. Essentially, the Parents’ Association is active in helping to create a partnership between the home and the school and it gives parents a deeper insight into what goes on in Crana College. Anything that is of importance to parents in the school will be referred to the Parents’ Association e.g. relevant school policies and codes, discussions on uniform or consultation on homework. Information is provided to parents on new developments, e.g. the SPHE programme, the introduction of ICT initiatives, Careers talks etc.
Parents/Guardians of incoming first years will get further information on the Parents’ Association at the 1st year Parent Information evening, held each year in September.
